If you've watched any of these animes: Konusuba, Tokyo Ghoul, The Seven Deadly Sins, Aldnoah.Zero, Akame ga Kill!, Plastic Memories, you've already heard the voice of Sora Amamiya and her most known roles. Besides dubbing, Amamiya also performed many songs in these animes, in this post let's take a closer look at them!
When I was watching my first anime Konosuba, I quickly fell in love with the sweet voice of Sora Amamiya, especially by her singing voice in the ending themes. 😊
So I decided my next anime should also be dubbed by Amamiya, and watched One Week Friends. I was a weeblet then, and wasn't aware that many anime music were performed by voice actors/actresses. When I found the ending theme Kanade was also sung by Amamiya, I did some lookups on all Amamiya's anime songs. Turns out there are many great ones were sung by her, and I will share them here, with their covers!
I really like Konosuba endings in the way they sound so soft and slow, and help us ease out the hype emotions in each episode. In contrast to how naughty Aqua acted in the anime, her singing voice is so tender and relaxing!
The plot of Isshuukan Friends is about a boy trying to become friends with the same girl every week. Cause the girl had trauma from previous friendship, her memory related to friends would reset weekly.
The ending song Kanade was a famous pop song by Sukima Switch, and Amamiya performed the cover version. Worth mentioning, Kanade was also covered by Rie Takahashi in Teasing Master Tagaki-san. It's like Aqua and Megumin both sang this song!
This is the insert song when Isla confessed to Tsukasa. The tender voice fits the sweet & bitter feelings in this song. Even though they will soon be separated, they still wanna be together and make more happy memories.
Among various love comedies, Rikekoi is a fresh one! This is kinda like the opposite of Kaguya-sama: In Kaguaya-sama the couple assumed the other side loved them back so they were trying to make the other one confess first.
While in Rikekoi, confession was made in the very beginning, and the couple wanted to prove the assumption holds (that they love each other). It's so amusing to see them trying to prove something they already knew!
Amamiya has dubbed for a diversity of characters, and sang different styles of songs accordingly. For example one type of them are elegant princesses, like Elizabeth in Nanatsu no Taizai. She performed 2 songs in this anime.
... or princess Asseylum in ALDNOAH.ZERO. Amamiya also performed a ending song for it.
Here are 2 songs Amamiya sang for Akame ga Kill, an anime with a dark bloody theme. It's about assassins planning a revolution to overthrow the empire. So these songs sounds more cinematic.
And also the opening song for a harem anime Monster Musume! Usually harem anime songs were sung by multiple voice actresses, so I picked the solo singer version for the video below!
This is an insert song in the anime. Although the main character here was actually dubbed by Maaya Uchida, Sora Amamiya was also one of the singers! Can you recognize Amamiya's voice in this song?

Amamiya is also a member of Trysail, a Japanese voice actress girl group formed by Momo Asakura, Sora Amamiya and Shiina Natsukawa. Since all three members are voice actresses, many of their songs were used as anime opening/endings! Below are the songs performed by Trysail:
Probably the most known anime song by Trysail? It's an upbeat energetic song!
And this song is also released in the same year of 「Adrenaline!」.
This is the first single by Trysail, and their first anime song!
Trysail also performed 2 songs in the famous Monogatari series.
Besides performing the opening song of Magia Record anime, Trysail also performed the theme songs for Magia Record's mobile game.
This is a sequel for a classic anime around 1970s, and the Trysail sang one of the opening themes!
The last song for this blog post! Although it is not really from anime, but I think it's worth mentioning!
If you're not familiar with Sora Amamiya, I hope this post help you know more about her! Feel free to leave a comment on Facebook or Twitter!
